Well I didn't rock the Tri world this weekend but I didn't die either. Finished my second Sprint up at the Lake Geneva Triathlon event on Saturday. I didn't drown, I keep the bike rubber side down and found that running down hills is easier than up. Look forward to more training and events next year.

I have a question for the group. This will be my first Tri events this summer and I'm in the 50-55 category, for a sprint triathlon, what kinds of times should I be aiming for? It takes me 18 minutes to swim 1/2 mile, 45 minutes to ride 14.5 miles and 26 minutes to run 3 miles. Are those awful times or okay? Any thoughts?

Hey, I can put an RSS feed on this page if anyone's interested. But what's the best one to use?

Mike thanks for creating this group, I know you are moving in this direction, "a budding triathlete", multi-sport athletes I ask you to take the time and visit the War On ALS web-site.. My son, Jon Blais...the -blazeman, a triathlete of 20+yrs., called upon this group, to join him to raise awareness and funds for ALS reseach, and you have and we thank you.
Best of luck in this Tri-Season...hopefully we will see a # of you at the events we plan on attending, The Blazeman Foundation for ALS.
Mike thanks for this forum.
In Strength, Honor and Freedom,
"Remember the -blazeman...Ironman's-Braveheart".
blazedad...jon's dad.
