In June, 2006 my son was born. It was one of the best days of my life. Four months later my Dad - David A. Virden Sr. - was diagnosed with ALS . It was the worst day of my life.

In July, 2007 & 2008 our team rode the Tri-State Trek - a 270 mile ride from Boston to NY that raises money for ALSTDI (www.als.net). ALSTDI is fervently working to find a cure for ALS. My father passed away from ALS in August 2008. Team Virden will be riding again in 2009.
