It's great to hear from you and glad to see you're doing well. Take it slow, it's worth doing it right and getting healthy before you get back on the bike. Still to cold and snowy to ride here so you're not alone inside.

Time for an update from your European Headquarters. To quote the Beatles; I've got to admit it's getting better, better, a little better all the time, it can't get no worse. Today was the first day I could get my Veloist jersey on for some laps on…

What a beauty climb! Where is it? Great road, looks like the cyclepathways we got in my country. How steep is this climb?

Well Eric, finally have seen and enjoyed your ride. Thought I was living in a flat country, but man, that's some flat lands over there. But tell me, what's with these grass circels around your town? Really curious...

feeling better

Looks like I'm feeling better already. No doubt thanks to all the good wishes from the Veloist people. I do have this feeling that the bone is growing back, there is less pain, I'm starting some easy exercises which can be quite painful and I'm thinking about riding the exercise bike sometime this weekend.

update from the european haedquarters

Well, time for an update. A short one. I am not that adepted to one-hand typing in bed. Yes, bed. Still lying there, my arm in a sling, staring at my Veloist jersey, hanging on the wall. It's my inspiration to get well. The painkillers have kicked in and there's onlyv one thing I can do. Resting so the broken… Continue

troubles at the european headquarters

Big problems at your European Headquaters! I've fallen from my city bike in the snow and broken my arm. No cast, the break is just below the shoulder. At least two months no cycling and loads of pain allthough the medicines are kicking in, Keep you posted.

A message from the European Headquarters ;)

Mailman came today and brought a small present from Mike the Veloist. The new cycling jersey! What a beauty and what a perfect fit! I haven't been out on the road for more than a week, I live in a complete snow-white world, going out on a racingbike is like suicide around here. So I do my laps in the backyard,… Continue

Harm, I live North of S.F. in Marin County (the reported birthplace of mountain biking, though I'm sure others would have something to say about that!). I've spent years commuting into the city for work and enjoying the roads north and west of the city for my weekend riding (mostly on the road, but I love mtn. biking too). The riding is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! I love it. And it's quite easily ridable all year round. Your place is too, just a little trickier, and much colder.
Get better quickly. If you ever come visit your favorite city again we'll set you up with some incredible rides....

Harm, I just want to build my own light. The LED lighting technology is changing so fast it's incredible. The cost of many of the lights I'm interested are in the $300 range. I'd like to build something for less than $100. So far the LED light source I'm most interested in is the Cree X-PG LED. It's currently one of the most efficient lights made. The more efficient, the more run time per lumen. If I was going to purchase a light set, I would consider the Ay-Up brand. What are you using for lights?

You're right about getting a light. I'm in the process of finding the right parts to build a bright, but inexpensive light.

Hell yes! The track bike was the best for tight turns. Of course, I am the boss.

HJ-you're on the home page again. Great shot. No worries on the jersey, what size are you anyway? In US I'm a Large Race Cut, that's a 40-42 chest and I weigh 162 pounds. I'd like to send you one for all you do. But of course I'll need to see it on some rides which I figure will be no problem. Send me a private note back with your address.

yeah, that's what I figured. One day I hope to make it there for some beautiful riding I am sure. Until then, have a post ride beer for me : )

Your sites are great looking, too bad, like most Americans I only read English. What language is that? Can you get your boys to join the Veloist, you should make a group page and it could be your new hangout. Ride safe.

I watched your videos and you guys look just as cold and goofy as we Americans do riding bikes. Looks like flats are a problem there too. Different language, same fun on a bike.
