the more you pace line it the faster your solo rides wil become. Soon a recovery ride will be at 18-19 mph

Yes. The hardest about being up front is not going too hard because you are wanting to be sure you are doing your part.

While I like the speed of the paceline, I'm not sure I'm ready to take the pain of the crashes. I will admit that it can be incredibly fun though to be flying down the road while barely breathing hard, until my turn at the front.

Yeh Robert, I became an instant addict. Did a 50 miler the next weekend with a group of 7 other riders just to get my fix!

The pace line effect can be incredible. Last week I did a solo 100 to celebrate turning fifty and was able to do it in about 5:20. It was fairly windy with moderate southern wisconsin rolling terrain. By contrast, last year I did a flat, cool, calm…

After 4 years as a cyclist I finally completed my first sub 5 century at the Clarksville (TN) Sunrise Century on 09/05/09 coming in at 4:56:46. I do 95% of my riding alone but on that day I learned the power of a paceline!

Swimming with Deer

the swim leg of triathlon is not my strong point so i have been going to a marked off course at the lake adjacent to the air base here and swimming at least twice a week. the 1 mile course takes you along the shoreline and into this cove. while swimming into the cove i looked up to practice my sighting for swimming in a somewhat straight line. There were two deer out on a little gravel spit, standing in the water and eating the nice tender green plants there. I stop swimming and started treading… Continue

Shad, I'm making the order for jerseys, it should be about $60 including shipping, what size are you? Full zip, short sleeve. The only reference I have for size is my wife. 5’7” 130 lbs, with boobs and she wears the Ladies Large Jersey. She said to tell you she wears a medium T’s and fitness tops for exercise. Or you can go to champion-sys.com. Please let me know and I’ll order your size.
