About Me:
I was born & raised in St. Louis and moved to Denver in 2000. I've been happily married for five years, and I have a son, Kieran, who was just born on October 5th 2007.

I've been riding a bike all my life but I never got serious about it until the past year, when I rode the hell out of my old mountain bike. I plan on buying a new road bike and getting hardcore with things this spring.

I have a number of personal goals set but ultimately, I want to be able to do "Ride the Rockies" in the summer of 2009.

First Couple Of Weeks of "Training"

Well I am now enetering what should be my 3rd week of training as I outlined in an earlier post. Training for the year didn't start off too well since I had to work 6 days and somelong hours at work that week. Then I got sick to boot!

last week was better, even though I didn't quite make my mileage goal. I started out on Tuesday with a test ride of my commute to work. It ended up being a bit longer than I had estimated through Bikely but it was a good ride until I kind of bonke…

Training For A Century

Per my previous post, one of my main goals this year is to ride my first century. I think I've done enough reading to have a good understanding of how I should train for this. I was using this Ride The Rockies training plan, but it's a 15 week plan, which doesn't get me where I want to be by June first. So I did some surfing around and found this plan that looks go…

I didn't realize that a lot of bike folks set yearly mileage goals until the past couple of week, when people were posting theirs over on Bike Forums. I have no idea of what I'm capable of as far as yearly mileage, so I'm just going to post the list of goals that I'm had in my head for the past month of so.

First, I n

Welcome to The Veloist Tuckerboy. It looks like you know your way around the site all ready. But if you have any questions just let me know. Goals are great to have but remember to have fun riding or you'll burn out for sure. Post any questions about riding or mileage and I'm sure you'll get some feed back in the Forums section. Ride safe.
