After arriving back this week from "Ride the Rockies" in Colorado I am doing two significant things. First, I am trying to let my body repair itself. Secondly, and more interestingly, I am trying to figure out why such a magnificent ride causes everyone and their emotions to come bubbling over like a bowl of pasta left on the stove too long. So this will be my third straight year for Ride the Rockies..... As each of the previous two years, some butterflies, lots of excitement and another adventure. This year the foursome that was our group three years ago has grown to eighteen. I wasn't sure how this happened, but I have a feeling it is from the past two years of my telling what an amazing expierience the week long event was for those involved. Went out today on a maiden voyage with the Alberto's crowd. Wendy G lead out and their were a number of riders with varying skill levels. My wife (Amelia) and friend Holly (see my friends) went out for their first taste of an official club ride. Suffice it to say everyone had a good time. Group rode 35 miles or so with an average speed of 18.5. Everyone hung on and did a great job. This was officially the ladies introduction to an official club ride.
